I forgot to add, you can only post pictures if you are using Tapatalk or it will say picture file is too large
So in a nutshell, if you are using an iPhone or iPad you can post photos on TLB without using Photobucket as long as you are using the Tapatalk app, look at me getting all technical, Bazza's down wid der kids man
I think Tapatalk (I don't use it) uploads the pic straight from your phone, as if you'd used the upload a file button (-ish). It's stored on the TLB server, that is, a copy of your pic data is moved to TLB. Photobucket holds people's pics on their server, and you just provide a link to a pic - an address - in TLB posts. When the forum software wants to display the pic as part of a post, it dashes off and gets a copy of the pic data to display, but doesn't save it. So no, you don't need Photobucket if you just want to send pics from your phone.
You mean I dont need to go to Boots the chemists on a saturday morning anymore. That will save some bus fare I can tell you.
But you don't need to use tapatalk (whatever that is). There are loads of image file size reduction apps out there so if a pic is too big for tlb, I simply reduce it and - bingo!
I don't know what either is I keep my photos on my laptop, reduce them in size using Office and upload them, seems simple enough to me! It's a bit like things like Just Eat or Hungry House, why bother when you can ring a takeaway yourself, talk to someone and make an order rather than use a middle man app and worry whether it's all gone through properly?
If we all start to place photos on the server, how long will it be before it fills up and affects performance?
Presume that us android phones can't use this Tapatalk feature.....or am I missing something....other than an IPhone?
Right, I've reloaded Tapatalk....let's see what happens when I try to upload a photo Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
