tiny and stephen get there first project and its a 20 millionth edition

  1. not as such , i want to clear up what we have , my be some thing in the new year , but i did buy another beetle at the weekend to sell on , and help pay for the bits we need c heers owen nw

  4. to day my self and colm got tore in again , first i made up a new bracket from an old nos piece of some thing for the ps rear heat exchanger so now i have 2 that work , we took the back bumper of my other beetle which was in better nick and put it on tinys car , now booth fitted , the back will have to come of again when i get 2 bumper iron wing gaskets , with the bumpers on it will help when puting the body on some thing to hold on to , body now ready to fitt , colm treated the inside of the new bumper to a coat of 2k black , owen nw colm

  5. to day i removed the bumpers again so i could flatten down the paint work amd replace the 2 rear bumper iron grommets . i put on a spoiler i got from 3 little boys of the nboc , fed the wiren for the front indicators in around the bumper irons and put the indicators on the bumpers , followed with the side chrome trim clips and trim , and rear nun=mber plate the original one too lol owen nw

  6. all bolts cooper greased 6 people to lift , then it wqas body on time , bit of jiggling about to line up , but first i runn a bead of seam sealer around the body seal just to make sure lol , owen wn colm

  9. now i have started the stage of checking the boxes to see what i have or is missing , or broke lol but now the car looks more like a car , and tiny wants now to drive it to school lol owen nw
     
  10. to day my self and colm took of the engine lid so to put on the spring that keeps it up , then wired up the back lights replaced the front engine tin put on the plastice pipes that conect the heat exchangers to the car , colm stripped the petrol tank of the mankey silver paint , then i done it red , owen nw colm

  13. got 3 sq meters of headlinning material only £41 delivered , ill get the loops swen in and fitt it to the boys car , owen nw

    i wasnt sure what 3 sq meters was iwas a lot bigger than i thought would do a whole camper van roof owen nw

    also go most of the wiren done brake fluid in bleed the brakes now and fitt the tank
     
  14. brake fluid in opened all 4 nipples until fluid come out then tightened them up will make bleeding easier , running boards fitted heavey duty original ones too , owen nw
     
  15. bought 3sq meteres of headlinning material , a friend of mine sewed up the headliner for me done the lot for £25 i gave him £30 lol now all fitted all glass in and looking class interior handles all in , new back carpet in luggage area fitted as is the 2 inner wheel arch covers , rear view mirror etc , next waxoil the insides of the doors and quarters then fitt the new door cards , followed with the new carpet set , more to follow owen nw

  18. got a gallon of wax oil put in on top of the gas ring on a low heat with the lid off for 5 minutes , then poured into a jar , i poured some in side the doors and quarter panels , it runn in to the nooks and crannies then set , i then brushed some higher up inside the same places so it would runn down the panels , i then brushed it onto the top of the front axels where they meet the front frame head so it to would find its level , i done this on the frame head bulk head along the inside of the bonnett wheel well plus well joints , heater channel end plates , battery box ends of the floors and behind the back saets , etc , where the brake fluid pipes go through

  19. started to fitt the new door cards , had some mods to make fitt , then recut new door plastic inner protecters
    fitt new carpet s , the new set comes with front inner front panel beside your feet carpet pieces to suit standard and 02 03 beetle bits and inner side pieces as well al i n the price , £65 and 2 new blades to cut not bad ,
