Thumper restoration, making it drivable at the least!

I'm going to have to figure out how to post pictures again on here so it may take a while.
Been away with heart failure, doctors said posable heart transplant...... That made me think.....
Since then I've recovered to almost good as new.. so I started to take my 74 German built left hand drive westie apart!! What else!!!
Pulled the engine last week, ported and polished heads, lapped valves etc! All from a book... So far so good.
Being on a budget of $0.00 I'm making do with whatever I can save or what's in my spares box, I'm a welder by trade so that makes life and things rusty a bit easier.
Hope to get some photos up soon and would love to be told how to fix stuff!!

I would have killed for a shelter ,the snow was settling on my legs...
