No idea, but you shouldn't need a puller, it's not tapered...

  4. You've never had a tight one then!!

I've had a few that are so tight, that the pulley bends while drawing them off!! o_O

  5. Thank very much :p:thumbsup: It was rusted on I bent the pulley and in the end I cut it of ;) But thanks zed and Paul can clean the threads now

  6. I'd go carefully, so you don't mash your crank up ;). Top tip for next time is to put a small socket down the crank 'ole, so the end of the puller grinds against the socket rather than the pulley bolt threads.

Every pulley I've removed has put up a fight ...

Precisely the problem, if you use a puller it will bend out of true. Yes I've bent some but generally it's possible to edge them off with a couple of screwdrivers if you don't expect it to just pop off. :)

  8. I've had a few that won't edge off with screwdrivers... as prior to getting the puller is how I always used to do it!! Then I was pulling down my old 1500 semi-auto engine, and the damn thing wouldn't budge!! I've experienced it a few times since then too :)
