Thinking About Bras

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by Pony, Apr 28, 2013.

  1. Got your attention:). Front of the van is looking like its been in a drive by shooting where the weapon of choice was a 12 bore. I ve been considering a bra for the beast but am unsure wether this is a good idea or not. The pros; saves the paint. The cons knackers the paint. I do a lot of motorway milage, so in this aspect that's a plus in my book. I ve a front mounted spare wheel and have borne witness to the consequences of that. Are they easy to remove ( this is begining to sound creepy) to check out the paint work Any pro bras out there or do you prefer the natural look;)
    Any thoughts much appreciated

  2. I like the all 'black' or 'chequered' bras. Thinking about getting one myself. I like to be different so running a bra would do that.
If the paint is getting bad either way I dont think it matters really - what do YOU want dude ;)

I bought one, used it once, then put it in the garage no doubt never to be used again.
I liked the way it looked but its a faff.

  6. Got mine from Volkshaven, they are the best. :)

  7. I was thinking of getting one made like the old Vertigo record label, so when some prat wouldnt get out of the middle lane i could hypnotise them and get them to shift over.

  8. Thats a bit naughty having to do that. you@d think it@d be fit for purpose

  9. haha or cause a pile up

  10. I had one, it came with the van. It was good, and fitted well, but it looked like a gimp mask and was a 2 man job to fit. I slung it in the back of the shed, and then when I realised how much they cost, I sold it on to someone who would actually use it.

  11. wunder-bra??

  12. I thought about 1, but then thought about the amount of moisture they hold when wet and got all paranoid so didnt bother but I do think they look good. just me suppose. got some Hayburner stickers instead.

  13. They look proper naff.

  14. Not really my cuppa tea them bra's, don't like the front mounted spares either but thats just me

The spare wheel mount should be easy enough to remove, should just be 4 bolts

I bought mine primarily to protect the paint.
As it didn't protect the paint I only used it the once.
It'd be a dull place if we all liked the same look; we'd all drive westies with radio-flyer's on the roof rack.

  16. you may look a right tit in a bra,

them checkered jobbies dont look so bad..
