I've been thinking about the rear tyres on my panel van (as you do) and was wondering if there is an optimum tyre size for performance/mpg etc... I'm currently running a 195 65 15 on a 5.5 brm and i'm thinking that it might be too tall.
What rear tyres size would be a better option? any advice would be cool... thanks!

195/70/15 on mine that equates near as damn it to 185 (80) 14 standard

yeah dude, 1600tp. doesn't wanna really go much above 60 if that.... always the slowest thing on the motorway! :-[
what sorta performance should it be giving?

  6. i think around 48 BHP as stock, if the engine is tired and done a lot of miles it could be a lot less

  7. 60 is really all you should be doing on a 1600... they will do 70/75, but be warned, it will spit its dummy and dump oil/guts all over the road!!

    Well, I say almost 60 but realistically it's more like 50..... :D
