  7. If you are going with the bus to Camper Shak yourself - we live just round the corner - call in see us - the bus in the front garden on the main A59 - you will pass it as you turn into Higgins Lane.

  8. Changed the oil and then had 3 days camping in the bus - all 4 of us - Mrs cunny and the 2 dogs and me chauffeuring cIMG_9105.jpg - lovely sunshine, relatively warm at night - great walks in the dunes and beach - red squirrels in the pine trees - can you guess where we went? Clue - we didn't have to drive too far.

Changed the plugs, checked the rocker clearance . Realised I could get another rocker arm shim on both rocker arms but could not find the spares...
Cleaned the carb again as I replaced the little plastic gasket round the choke flap operating lever.
Made a gasket for the CIS fuel injection throttle body plenum.. Seems to be a Beetle FI but with a CIS system amd a Porsche throttle body .. With a few bits off an XR 3i..

  14. Plenum is a very satisfying word :). Plenum.

  15. Replaced my dizzy with a vacuum advance (points) one from Jk (bundle kit), coil, leads and plugs. Almost no flat spot now. Gives about 20° advance at 1200rpm (1600 tp with Solex). Happy as a bear with a big pot of honey.

  20. I pressed Wiggie back into service as a daily driver and commuting car - my so called reliable modern car broke down on Saturday with an engine light warning.

I took Wiggie into Epsom yesterday to visit my grandfather in hospital and he did me proud :)
