Fiddled with new seat runners until the seat stopped binding about 2 inches forwards of fully back..

Then switched to fitting a nice Epever Tracer to the solar setup. It took moving a lot of stuff around as the MPPT controller is about 6 times bigger than the old MPPT brand PWM controller I used before.
So its like there has been a shootout with 3mm ammo round the installation now as there are a lot of redundant holes. Mostly hidden under the solar controller and the inverter..
I bought the 20 amp version as I was not sure if I would use the panels in series or parallel. In the end I put them in series so the 10 amp Tracer would have done..and thats a bit smaller too

 

Is this the state of restoration at the moment, if so I have a front panel from the air box down to the deformation panel you might like to consider. Can post photo if you want.

Used the bus as a mobile workshop to try and bodge a 2003 New Beetle. It had a water leak so I cleaned off the Radweld residue to try and find the hole.
After a lot of searching it turned out to be a pinhole in a plastic moulded water pipe manifold on the nearside of the engine block.
As the budget didnt run to anything, I stuck a cable tie over the hole and the owner of the Beetle will then use more Radweld to gunge up underneath the cable tie..

Long live aircooled cars...

 

He's back, stuffed with lovely 1960s furniture. Off to the dump tomorrow
