My van needs a polish but I’m too lazy. Which insta filter did you use? ;)

  3. It's called "Idle B*stard". In the menu somewhere.

Day off, so decided to make a plan and start to tidy up the body work. Started making a list then realised that every panel needs attention! Bit fed up so gave up the plan and made a start with the boot lid. Pleased with how it has turned out....one down, loads more to go!

Then when the weather is warm amd dry enough try to run Waxoyl or similar solvent plus wax in between the two skins on the engine lid so that water cant get down in there to restart the rot..

Good plan! I the van is covered with these plugs, do I prize them out and pour it in?

  7. Yep .
Prise them out and squirt some cavity oil in there , Bilt-hamber aerosol was my choice . Think it was the S50 cavity wax - 4 tins for about 60 quid should do the whole van . (@Ermintrude ??)

Put plenty in and cover the floor with cardboard as it drips out for days / weeks !!

    :hattip:

Do you see the little Chewie up there doing his dance? That is currently me :D

The autumn misery of the failed panel is but a distant memory.
Bird poo can not dampen my joy and happiness with the world.
I am at one with nature and the sun god that brings us light and warmth.... and now a topped-up battery too.
Birds will sing, bees will buzz, a gentle breeze will blow.... and the sun will come out tomorrow, tomorrow....
….I may need to take my medication now. Nurse!

There's not much of a sill under here and I suspect the other side will be the same. I'm removing, or trying to, the stonechip paint so that the grinder doesn't get clogged up with it - seems like there won't be much metal for the grinder to remove.[IMG]

Today I are mostly been fitting my seats. Yes they're Saab but I did trial fit them when the steering wheel was still in and I found I had enough legroom and headroom for a six footer :)

  15. Scrubbed the top of the roof, washed the rest of the van, then polished all over, autosoled the hub caps. All looking nice and shiny.

Took it to Homebase and shoved some long bits of timber and corrugated roofing in its back end.

  19. i have no idea if mine is early or late (crossdresser) and it's also up i the air - can i find out from underneath?

  20. not squirted mine yet - i keep getting distracted by all the other bits of rust and underseal
Will do it after painting too in case it drips and means my paint won't stick - it's all about the timing of the processes! :D
