Not quite a Bay. Yesterday, I reconnected and checked all the wiring for enough voltage or bad earth's on my Eberspacher heater.
Still won't start so I've ordered a 3kw Chinese copy heater for £125. I should be able to sell the Eberspacher and diagnostic controller for more than that.
I wonder if it will turn up and can I get it fitted before the 7th

Scraped a load of dead Sikaflex off the pop-top from where the old solar panel was fixed (the new one is going in a different location). It's tenacious stuff, isn't it? It don't wanna come off!
Listened to the neighbours yelling at each other, and realised scraping Sikaflex probably wasn't so bad.... baby number 8 has recently put in an appearance, I guess it makes you a tad tetchy...!

    Ha!
In fairness only four of them are actually theirs.... the other four belong to her sister from when they all (including Granny) lived there - but sister's husband left one day, and then she just disappeared never to be seen again too, neglecting to take her share of the brood.... so I can understand why they row a bit! And the only thing that seems to suffer physically is the front door, despite yelled threats to the contrary; but I do worry for the kids.... one of them has just skulked off down the road looking very fed up :(

  11. Don't bother, mate. Trying to improve on Devon's appalingly shoddy workmanship is very disheartening. It's like trying to polish a turd.

  12. That's a really odd place for your oil to be escaping. Is it coming from the base of the oil filler? Is the breather hose connected?

  16. That’s not a lot of oil
I don’t think you have lost the lot from there.
Have a look underneath the engine.

  18. I let it sit for an hour, and the dip stick was at zero

Dumped it at the garage instead of trekking home, s"itting myself all the way there.
It's the first time that vans been out properly and it's really under powered too, it's not standard slow, it's embarrassing snail pace

Just on TLB I know of at least 5 panels that have completely failed, the failure rate is higher than you might think.

If that’s the road through the hole in the tin in the first pic there will be a lot of hot air recycling into the engine bay.
