Testing fuel gauge sender resistance

Kits are available from JK for example to cover the hole you've cut...or ask on here if anyone's got a section of rear floor you can use...

 

Hayburner do a nice kit....might be the same as JK !

 

As long as you're happy to mangle it, or take your time and remove the tin below the firewall at the same time.

 

or just fill up every 200km.

 

You wouldn't be the first to adopt that policy!

 

Just thought I would update. Suddenly started working again so am spared removing the firewall. Just did a long drive to Denmark. Was very useful…..

 

The Hayburner kit is quite tidy, has a reasonable sized hole and no sharp edges once installed.
