Terrible rattling noise

  1. So I have been driving the camper to and from work since I put in the recon engine so I have been listening to each and every sound and hoping for the best. Well today I was on my way home and I heard this terrible rattling noise. Next thing I know, a load of rust came out the heater vents. I bloody *******ed myself laughing. It must have come from the old concertina pipes I'm using, there not to clever inside but still perfectly usable. Could have been a lot worse lol

  2. Our dash used to be covered with bits of rust every time we turned fan on, put a new centre pipe on and cured that, the old pipe was only held together by the jacket around it ,

  3. I had that the other day on the M11 - pulled out to overtake, heard this awful rattle then a load of rusty bits blew out of the screen vents. I was returning from having the battery tray welded up... :)

  4. I've had a mouse nest expelled through my dash vents

  7. try not to leave it so long before you drive it :D

  8. I've had plenty of dead leaves blowing through the air vents on my Mk3 and little bits of sponge from the heater flap blowing up from the screen vents. The joys of classic motoring.

  9. That was my first bay - She'd been parked in a field for 4 years before I came along and saved her!!

There was mouse nests all over the place... one or two in the rear valance
