Tell me why this is wrong

My prototype bay steering box is leaking, I was talking to a fella at the weekend who packed his with grease 7 years ago, he drives it most days all he does is check it once in a while he's never had any problems I'm going to do the same to mine if I die @rustbucket you can have all my carp pictures, @crossy2112 I leave you my Chelsea shirts, @Jack Tatty you get my hairpieces @Gingerbus you get my little black book @Suss you get my speedos , @Lazy Andy to you I leave my trophy pictures to hang on your wall

It is very wrong to leave such valuable items to such irresponsible people . What about your steering box who gets that ?

We used to use a semi liquid grease in a couple of machines, although they were designed to use that grease...

personally i cant see it been a problem, we're not talking high speed gears in a steering box

 

He PM'd me saying he'd left his stash in the shed to split between you and Mr T

As it's an early steering box I've been told you can't repair it so I can't see how the grease is going to be a problem it leaks now anyway so I've nothing to lose,

I use to use 00-grade oil in my old triumph spitfire trunnions instead of gear oil and it was fine

 

But that will leak the grease wont I think I'm on to something here this time next year I'll be a milyonair Rodney
