TECHENDERS SEPTEMBER 2014 (APRIL 2015 DATE NOW KNOWN)

I used a big G clamp on mine....end on to the wedge shaped clip....proper head shaker of a job (ie. you're tightening something to the extent that your head shakes involuntarily, as opposed to just shaking your head thinking 'why the F*** do they make it so difficult....)

 

Which of the brazzy bay is different? The clamp goes round the rubber and the flat part of the rubber goes onto the flat part of the torsion arm

 

Brazzy bays are king and linkpin so i guess the arms are a different shape

 

The black ones noted as best quality on VWH are the right shape and very much easier to fit.

Lets hope I remembered right then, I have a pair to fit on Monday too.

 

If you find out they aren't a great fit, then whatever you do, don't come wandering over at Tekenders with a beer in your hand, after I've spent 4 hours swearing and cursing at the brackets and say "oh by the way, I forgot to tell you, when I fitted those the other Monday, they were a real bitch to fit....."

Could you not enlarge the hole of the "proper" ones to fit the larger diameter HD anti-roll bar?

@rickyrooo1 - I have a grease gun which I can bring. I've just done ours.

 

I think the polyurethane bushes are part of the setup in that this is supposed to be stiffening up the rollbar. Not sure how using the original, softer bushes will go with that. I'm going to try the poly bushes first.

 

Also I don't think the rubber will take to trying to make the hole bigger it won't be very precise. The poly ones will be fine just a bit tougher to do

Ha ha I didnt have me on it either until today! I have been waiting on a valuation Of the van for months and they contacted me today to say it will be on sat sept 27th in Strattford! Can't miss on the chance of it as at the moment I don't believe my insurance is enough!

 

Stratford isn't that far - can't you come back after for Saturday night?!

 

It is T2OC! Don't know what else to do as right now I just have it insured but if it was written off or burn out would probably only get 10 or something like that and I have spent over 18!!!
Will get it valued anyway and see what they say
