  1. We lowered and its good so I can fit in garage but bad cos you have to watch steep changes in direction,

  2. Ah, I didn't know that.. Thanks. You mean when steering?
    Is it better going round corners though, and does it catch the wind less? I don't want it slammed, just a bit lower than it is as actually I have to leap to get in! And it handles somewhere between a brick and a windsurfer.

  3. Rides good lowered on spindles then raised on beam adjusters, it was low then gradually raised. its still a challenge we nearly got stuck on chainlink ferry. Handling is never a good point on these but total height for bus is less than 2m inc pop top and sky light so multi storeys are great fun with 20mm to clear. try it at weekend techenders

  7. 5/16=0.3125"
    0.3125x25.4=7.9375mm :)

    Bsp goes off the inner diameter of the the pipe, so 5/16 th

    7.9375 + pipe wall x 2 (2mm) + thread pitch (3mm)

    Approx 12.9375 mm :)

    Your gonna have to be a bit more specific than that. These are VW campervans we're dealing with here so we need to go to at least 6 decimal places. :)

    I got quite a shock when I bought a 3/8 NT tap, it was mahoosive!
    1/4 BSP with get you some better sized fittings requiring a smaller whole. These are tapered thread, so you need the correct tapered tap.

  14. Work permitting, I shall be there. Mrs T may come along too.

    In terms of jobs to do - perhaps get around to fitting the new cab door seals I didn't do last time?
