Fibreglass will pop back but I'd be more concerned about damaging the poptop by possibly pulling the rail out ... ?

I was thinking more about the scissor lift being ripped out. But saying that if the wind was that bad you’d probably close the roof anyway.

That was the other option I was thinking of. The fibreglass shroud however is not very strong at all and is more of a rain diverter from the pop top / roof juncture. If anyone is brave enough to try it for a laugh or risk it for a biscuit, I reckon a 19X 38mm roofing batton fitted inside the shroud with some serious adhesive would possibly strengthen up the shroud to take a ally strip to take the entrails of this bloomin awning thingy

I'm thinking a rain awning, which needs to connect to the van really.
Currently I don't own a proper awning or a rain awning.

As @Ozziedog has rightly pointed out this is a lot of chat just for an awning.

So no more, until I can check out all the options at techawningenders!
