Techenders - 21st to 23rd April - Who's coming?

Discussion in 'Shows Events You've Missed unless you went' started by Baysearcher, Feb 25, 2017.

  1. Safely back home with my new cooker (thanks @SkutterBob) & new Gas bottle (thanks @Dicky)

I've even got myself a suntan (thanks global warming).

There were so many people I didn't even get to say hi to everyone.

    Nice one for organising @Baysearcher

Hope we can get @zed & @rickyroo1 etc to the next one in September

    Great to see everyone

  2. Got home about 4. Another top weekend and it was great seeing everyone again. See you next April.

  5. Really well, thanks for all the expertise, couldn't have done it without you.

I can go around roundabouts at much higher speed and don't get dragged under trucks as they pass - dead pleased.

Thanks for all your help this weekend, Disappointing morning for both of us I'm sure but could have been a lot worse. I'm going to get some new blades and have that silkafix off in no time. I've already ordered a new tube and connectors

Hope you enjoy/enjoyed the bottle but I have a inkling @mrsbusmonkey will be the one to enjoy it.

Look forward to the next TE in September. Cheers Doug

Good journey home, 150 miles in about 3 hours 15 including a stop for fuel.... not too shabby
Cheers everyone for a great weekend as always, but especially @Lasty & @Dazza for the propex fitting, @mikedjames for getting my steering wheel off and the fact my indicators now cancel, @davidoft for my lovely shiny hubcaps / Bosch dizzy , and @Mrs_Robo for the beer run and scones
    Bring on September!

Edit: And Adam (no idea of his forum name, sorry) for tinkering with my new headlight conversion, realising we needed to cut bits off the bulbs, and generally meaning I can now see where I'm going!

  11. Great event. Great weather with lots of really nice folks- some of whom I actually recognised.

Managed to fit a cab door lock barrel and blank off my EGR valve ...EXTREME mechanic action!

Decided to save some petrol on the return journey :( PeaSoup looked very sheepish being pulled up on to the flat bed!

Thanks to all who helped and advised today - @1973daisey , @paulcalf, @theBusmonkey to name a few - and especially to @davidoft for being an absolute star, and for even waiting to make sure I got picked up ok :)

And thanks to Joe who waited for me and gave me a lift home - sorry you were back so late, and thank you for saving me from having to make polite conversation with the flat bed driver!

Other than the return journey another fantastic weekend. Lovely people, good food and drink and plenty of interesting conversation. Looking forward to September!

Back home safe and sound after an excellent weekend, thanks everyone, what a cracking bunch of people. I'd thought that getting my spotlights fixed was going to be the highlight of my weekend (thanks guys for sorting the wiring for me) but I'm afraid that accomplishment was eclipsed when Matt gave me a pool ball gear top.
I am now able to ask random strangers if they want to look at my knob. :) If they're unsure I can add that it's shiny and red and they can have a feel of it if they want. :):)
