    Made it home; just.
Clutch gave up (I think) a mile from home.
    Made it home in 1st.
    Happy days!

  3. Mrs Robo left with the pooch leaving the kids & me to stay around a bit longer.

I milled around a bit & an old chap drove in to visit in his bug he had restored himself in the 90's

When I finally said let's go I found the kids constructing a very fitting tribute...

  7. Minimal accidents this weekend until we got home... mini miss Robo decides to drop her phone down the toilet and mini mr Robo puts the wrong key in his jeep and snaps it off in the ignition

  10. Great weekend and a good journey home which was a little interesting when a total A-wipe overtook @Lasty 's mate Paul (sorry Paul but I don't know your name on here) on the Hard shoulder of the M1, probably going 80! Scary, what a muppet!

  12. I take it that it was you @paul2590
I'm not sure if you saw him as he went on your inside but the muck thrown up from the hard shoulder looked like a pileup was happening. He must have had a shock over that Honda Goldwing that was in front of you!

  14. I've seen some muppets in my time but that was scary to watch, I couldn't believe it when he then pulled away into the outside lane and I saw the bike in front of you.
Glad that you got home safely.

Got home a few hours back - 138 miles in 2h15 mins: tried to really thrash it : the rev counter accused me of 4790rpm peak.. and got it hotter than coming up - no misfire. Must have been a loose spade connector on the coil - I took them all off and gave them a gentle squeeze with some pliers.
Running gently up hill towards the Ridgeway hill on the A34 at 68mph the CHT gauge (not on spark plug) hit 135 degrees and the oil sat around 117, even with the cooler working. Got to the top of the hill in fourth gear, so no problem, was overtaking stuff on the smaller hills following.

A great way to spend my birthday!
