4 strips for a fiver, stuck on the back of the bottom edge of the headbanger. Think that might be my solution - well when I've made the headbanger of course. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/27415369...ZKe2nuVQba&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
It's a strip of 5, each shines through a hole, I don't know even if they are red LEDs, I'll take it apart again and investigate.
5630 LEDs are brighter, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/32397149...ar=513013787916&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
I was thinking (as I have a housing) of getting some of these or something similar https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/19300939...Lq1ykLmhOgA1QYuOhxgtv2DA==|tkp:Bk9SR4TbyM2-Yg
I get the reflective tape for front but why the rears ? No modern cars or classics have it in rear lights .
How about these? .https://www.towingandtrailers.com/p...-light-slimline-trailer-fog-light-multi-volt/
No it doesn't, but unlike yourself the numbers would be meaningless to me anyway! And TBH I don't have the interest to educate myself about LEDs, I bought a brake light and it should have been bright! Job should have been jobbed.
It's that a bit like saying I employed a mechanic and the job should have been jobbed.... ...runs for the hills. ..
LOL correct. It's just a light, less than a tenner, didn't think it was worth much time as sticking in the window was my no.1 wish and that was the only one on offer. It was that or nothing and it was advertised as a brake light. Due diligence done as far as was possible.
You would be amazed at what masquerades on eBay as an H4 LED headlamp bulb ... Some of the cheap ones are nearly half as bright as a halogen.
As it is a multi-voltage one , it wont suffer the usual fate of 12 volt low cost lamps with dropper resistors where when the voltage is 14 volts, the light is twice as bright as when it is 12 volts , so it dims and brightens with e.g. indicators flashing, like you have an earth fault. (because the LEDs have a fairly constant voltage drop regardless of current )
Just fitted some stop / brake lights and indicators from Classic leds. Had problems with the indicator bulbs as the bayonets would not clear the “ locating horn “ Sorted by a bit of dremelling but had to remove part of the “ locating horn” Advised Classic LEDs and it is a known problem… “Thank you for your email David, This issue is one that we are aware of but is not very common and only happens rarely with some holders. It is one that we are addressing with production to reduce the neck size of the LED. At present, if you have the same issue with the fronts you would need to file those too. The bayonet position cannot be changed as they need to be relative to the base contact. Thank you for your very valuable feedback. It is very much appreciated.
