Taking engine out and swapping 3 rib to a 6 rib gearbox

    Does that follow? My 1700 doesn't have a engine hatch, but I wish it did :rolleyes:

    My 1600 didn’t have a hatch but has the pressings in the tin for where one goes ....@davidtoft is the reference guide on all this.

    Mine is a ‘74

    Spark plug changing is a pain with no hatch ..what with the snail fan and pipes in the way

    AFAIK the very first type 4 engined busses never had hatch .. my 73 MY 1700 does
