Tailgate with no window

Hi, I've got a late bay panel van that has glass In the tailgate however I've seen a late bay that has an all steel tailgate with no glass which I personally thinks look better on a panel van.

Question is where can I get one?

From the rocking horse poo barn, they are pretty rare, may be easier to modify a windowed one

 

My first van had a square window in one side of the tailgate

 

M plate code-M127 according to my nerd book. There's a van round the corner from me with one, but it's the only one I've seen in the flesh. Rocking horse poo indeed!

I wanted the same a few years ago . I posted a wanted as on vzi & found a couple. didn't buy either of them , sellers wanted big bucks if I remember correct

so I'd recommend Wanted ad on vzi.

I could remake a windowed one into a non-window one...

 

A really cheap way would be to get a piece of steel laser cut to the exact window dimensions, install with a new seal then paint the whole tailgate, seal and all. Gotta be cheaper than welding a panel in

The tailgate needs a bit tidying near the lock and bottom edge but HEY that's all part of the fun right?

Finally picked tailgate up today from Jeffery van Duin, he was good enough to meet near Birmingham, now to get it sorted for paint!
