Starter Motor

Hi all,
In the process of having the Golf mk4 engine fitted to the Bay but I have been informed that the Golf starter motor doesn't fit - any ideas?
All help is always greatly appreciated.

 

I guess you need the Bay starter if you're using the Bay box and bell housing with an adaptor.
@Paul Weeding is the expert on this sort of stuff, he'll be along soon to impart his wisdom.

 

It's a bay box, t25 bellhousing.
I have been informed that it's the t25 item I will need or heard that a bay one will fit possibly maybe

 

T25 diesel bell housing? Then you'll need the T25 diesel starter

Same as a late bay starter I think.

 

I believe you're correct Bro#1 but it is the diesel item I need.

 

That would essentially be the same as a post 76 bay bell housing, and a water pumper (other than a wasser boxer) wouldn't bolt to it
