Stand up for your rights

  1. Either follow the rules, or don't get caught, or if you've done it then think on your feet:-
    Cop versus Cyclist

I've seen this before, although i think the cop is a bit of a tool, if indeed the lad did do what he was accused of then the law was correct, the lad on the video comes across as an arse to me, i suppose you could argue he does a good job of provoking the cop and remaining calm himself - as usually it's the other way round, but as i say if you follow the law 100% and therefore sometimes require it to be on your side you need to agree that when you break it not to act all cocky, or karma will get you.

  3. Stupid plod for not knowing the basic's , hope he was reprimanded

  6. My stand on the matter is that the bloke obviously ran a red light & he is wrong for doing it.
In fact he is a knob for doing it as he could have quite easily have hit a car or pedestrian.

Having said that its up to the police officer to prove his wrong doing & its his right not to aid him in this process.

If the cyclist had hit someone or damaged property as a result of his actions then he would have broken the law.

When you break the LAW you should be punished severely.

This country has it all wrong, you can get a bigger punishment for breaking a traffic regulation (act of parliament)
Than you get for breaking criminal law,
how does that make any sense? :(

Yep - am sure he can quote his rights as he bounces across some innocent drivers bonnet who hasn't run the lights coming the other way.

Cyclists running red lights are an effin pain in the arse - am not syaing they should be hurt or killed - but if you live by the sword, you die by the sword - just hope ruining someone else's life is as morally justifiable.

I used to cycle a lot, got no issue with drivers being total arses as in many cases that is true - but I don't see why cyclists feel compelled to join in seeing as they are the ones not wrapped in steel.

Cycling is dangerous - cyclists adding to their own danger to me is a mystery.

As a sad aside - I was parked up next to the post box in that clip eating a KFC when the news John Peel had died came out on the radio.

    Small world.

  18. The guy is a kocky tit . Im sure the cop didn't stop him for the hell of it he thought he was doing something dangerous. If every one acted like this we would never get any were.

He should have some respect the copper is just trying to do his job. I can bet the bloke would not remain silent if his house was burgled and he needed help.

    What a plank ::)

  19. If the guy posting this on youtube is trying to get everyone to pat him on the back and congratulate him, then he's wasting his time. I think he comes across as a bit of a cock and he'll be the first one complaining if the police didn't come to his aid if he gets wiped out running a red light.

  20. Bless.. I didnt watch this to the full first time because it was a bit painfull! :(

I try to bring my kids up to be honest. :) And if they do something wrong I tell them, I will think more of them if they admit it an be truthfull than try and hide or lie about it..

This video an peoples reactions seems to show we would prefer kids to lie or try and use legislation to get out of what we have done. :'( :'(

    Point is!

If he had run a red light infront of me in my van with my kids in the front !! and if I had run him over and my kids had to see his dead body smash in front of my windscreen i would be a little peeved to say the least..

Im not saying the copper is right because anyone can see he is a (hello who do you think you are? "Nigel Mansel" kindof copper) But for the person on the bike who thinks its right to run red lights (madly dangerous thing to do!! thats why the goverment legislate in the way that they do!! ::) ) and then to post the video on the web to get some kindof following!! What is the world comming to??

Bloody heck I hope my kids listen to me and not the internet and admit if they do something wrong rather than being a proper tool about it!! I for one will think more of them for it!! And would stand by them as family do whatever!! :)

As would my Dad and my Grandad and i hope my great grandad wouldve!!

If everyone took responsibility for their actions rather than trying to worm out of it or blaming someone else wouldnt the world be a nicer place??? ;)
