  7. ok in the morning when you are driving stick to the limit and you will have queue behind you every where you go and i know for a fact someone will always try and get past

  8. Councils want you to take the speed awareness option because they get to keep the money to fund their 'safety partnerships', whereas speeding fine money goes to central Government and isn't an earner for the councils, like it used to be. Taking a speed awareness course helps fund cameras and camera vans. That doesn't mean the sensible option of funding traffic police who can look for dangerous driving, poorly maintained vehicles, drunk drivers, people on phones etc., it just means more people collecting speeding fines / more cameras on the basis that speeding is the sole cause of all accidents regardless of all other [glow=red,2,300]FACT[/glow]ors.

And no, I've never had a speeding ticket in 30 years / approx. 750k miles of driving because I'm careful.

  20. I got to say I went in being very negative, although didn't show it out of respect for the course leaders, I came away having thought it was worth doing & feeling positive. I'm deffinatly going to drive better now. Some of the videos they showed were quite moving.
Another shocker is that you use 25% more fuel doing 80 than at 70. so from now on 70 is my max. :)

Want I totally don't agree with is, that insurance companies can buy your personal information off the DVLA Some insurance companies ask if you have been on the course within the last 5 years & if you have they put your insurance up. :(
