  1. @Ermintrude thanks for your knowledge! do you have a link for the Palziv stuff you used? was it Gal, Pal or 3R Foam I need to look at for what you've done on your panels?

    thanks again!

  2. hey, can you dig out a link for the insulation you put on the panels in the background please? what tape did you use also? thanks

  3. I've been informed that Flashband will also do the trick purchased from builders merchants ! Not tried myself tho !

  4. JonnyM likes this.
  5. Someone had a full deadening kit for sale on here.
You don't need lots just a square or two in the middle of the panel and some heavy mlv stuff over the engine

  6. from using both this and Silent Coat, Id use Silent Coat every time.

the flashing is ok but doesnt manipulate as easy as the SC and the SC has thicker Ali and resin layers, I bought the bolk pack of 40 sheets off amazon at 80 quid and it wasnt really enough, Id get two bulk packs and be generous with it rather than counting each sheet, I did all interior metal panels except the floor and the front panel as I ran out, but its well worth the money and still comes in cheaper than dyna mat etc!

  7. Ditto every so often Amazon does the bulk pack for £80 it makes a massive difference

  8. thats the stuff matey, 25 - 30 % of each panel with that and the rest with the flashing is what I did, some panels I went a bit over board with the silent coat lol but its made a huge difference to the resonant noise through the metal work, like closing the doors, they sound solid now when slamming them lol, and driving, the engine noise is more confined to the engine bay and doesn't travel through the metal work now, get a good runner roller from ebay and use that and also a hair dryer to soften the pieces before applying, makes it so much easier! I live in Sheffield, if you're close come over and have a look if you like? :)

  9. Thanks, picked up some similar stuff from Amazon. In the middle of fitting it :)

So sound deadening sorted. Insulation next ?!

    Any cheap suggestions?

I've a roll of underfloor heating stuff to try

  10. After sound deadening, I foil taped some foil bubble wrap insulation stuff to the bus before I re attached the interior panels, should help a bit with the cold, but I need to sort out my seals, all 3 door seals are crap and let in air and some water which isn't good!

  11. Space blanket £98/10m roll from ebay. I used about 2m worth fixed in using foil tape, after a bulk pack of silent coat of course on the inside of all the panels.
