  1. This is what I've got and my door doesn't catch when open so I think I'm missing a spring but looking through heritage catalogue I can't see the bit I'm missing? Any ideas/ help?

  2. Think
I've found it, now need to buy one from somewhere?!

  3. Take it he's Dutch! I can't read the page lol! Is it best to email do you reckon? Sure there's nothing in the uk? Thanks

  4. Yes, he's Dutch but fluent in English so e-mail him quoting the part number. The price of 4.05 euros is without postage.

  5. Ok thanks :)

  6. No, that's a different part number. What you have linked to is a spring on the locking levers on the hinge mechanism itself, rather than on the receiver. Look again at the two photos above.

  7. I do apologise, your right vwed. They don't do them thankfully and I say that because if they did it would probably be considerably more than having the part shipped from holland. I quite often think we're being held to ransom by our suppliers. There is such a varying degree of prices for the same products, you really do have to shop around for every single part.

  8. Mmmmnnnn try having a conversation with the guy, its like somebody who had a problem with you every email lol!!
Trying to get a price delivered he gave one price posted " buy at buyers risk" or shipped recorded! I mean, what you gonna do! Obviously smoke more!! Lol

  9. Needless to say... I need the part so I'll be buying it when he emails me again:)

  10. Either that or always park facing up hill :)

busby, Razzyh and Lardy like this.
  11. Awe that'd be fantastic!! How much you after fella? :)

  12. I'm missing exactly the same thing.

I was going to say would it make sense to combine postage if multiple people needed the part.

Does anyone else have a spring lying around?

Also did I imagine it or did someone say they have made a spring from a clothes peg (am i going mad?)

  13. Mmmnnnn similar to a clothes peg spring I suppose :)

  14. JT1

    JT1

Not mad - see http://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/sliding-door.25399/#post-423692 as that is a similar link to this one where mikedjames made this spring from a clothes peg; some good close up pictures as well.

  15. Ah ha - I knew I wasn't mad (and I don't care what the doctors say!)

I thought someone had made one from a clothes peg. @mikedjames do you have any photo's of the one you made or tips?
