    Mid-80s. I bought it new in 1980 (was the Vauxhall version), did 150k in it, but after about five years the rot had set in. Remember the fuel tank splitting from end to end, and the entire exhaust system shearing off on the M4 one night. Gone to the crusher long ago, I think.

    Still, we romped to Munich countless times, and went up and down Alps. Fun times.

    I had a series A 1.9 manta.
    It got crushed by a falling wall a week after I bought it :mad:

    A ceremonial tree planting in Southampton this morning.
    I’ve been here since 8.30 digging the holes, bashing in the stakes, and getting the trees tied up and straight. Now the invited guests have rocked up, scoffed mulled wine and mince pies, and the sponsors of each tree will get their photo taken with a lovely clean stainless steel spade by their tree, before buggering off and leaving me to fill in the holes!
    A kind lady has just brought me a mince pie as I skulk out the way
