Spent the evening at The Black Country Museum. It was cold and I was still hanging a bit from Friday night's works do, do I didn't have a beer or mulled wine and the queues for the chippy were stoopidly long.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

  7. As I recall, they went from the 2litre Opel lump (which I had) to the fancy 1.8 alloy job. I don't think the Monza engine would fit. Pity, as a Manta could easily have handled more power. The Thinking Man's Capri

Is that one of the last steel frames? Used to have a rigid steel Fire Mountain which was a lovely zingy ride!

Yes bought as a frame only back in 2009 even through they had stopped making them, I still think it's nicer ride than most modern carbon/alloy.

After not being able to ride it due to illness for the last 8years I have just rebuilt it with electric assistance

Mine was an E plate GTE coupe with the grey half leather recaros and the four round headlights in a grey ish colour. It was lowered a touch and had a Jetex exhaust..proper boy racer style :D

  15. Fancy stuff! I never really liked the face-lifted Mantas with the round headlights. Old-school ones looked better IMHO (and still look good today, if you can find one that hasn't rotted away).

Found an old pic of my white one, parked at the top of a mountain in Vent, Austria. Lower left, parked near a be.ige Bay!
