    Last day in Yorkshire. After spending an eternity waiting for the girls to get ready, also fighting off a crappy cold and waking up at 5:30am we went down a mine - obviously no photos from underground as I don't still own a old fillum camera.

    The underground tour is excellent. I didn't get to see much else as the girls took forever to get ready today so didn't get there till just before our 3pm underground tour.

    I wasn't brought up anywhere near a mine or had anyone in the family in the industry, but the whole decline of the pits really got to me - the closest the strike came to us was when we put up Flying Pickets and helped with collections for the miners. It was bloody hard work, even in the late 80s and with mechanisation.
