  1. Attach hose plug to the firewall and run hose to it.
    How about run a hose to a fake NOS bottle.

    I looked up vacuum cap and a bunch of stuff came up on eBay.

    You don’t need to cap the vacuum can but hopefully you also blocked the connection on the carb.

    Aye that I did. Not sure why I did that tbh! It's the other end of the pipe that provides the vacuum. :confused:

    You're over thinking an easy fix - there's a hole needs plugging and a sleeve to support the repair ...
    2 inches of pipe , bolt jubilee clipped in one end , slip the other end over the manifold spur and secure with a jubilee - 10 minutes - job done . Sometimes it's better to just think about a solution rather than trawling the internet for parts and answers ;)
    Think i used old gas pipe ....

    The true stock way to treat that vacuum pipe is to leave it open so that it runs like a dog and melts the cylinder heads if you ever persuade it to go more than 10 miles.

    I did a scary version of this on @Marzydj's bus.

    I used a socket head bolt (CV joint ??) that wouldnt go into the hole in the manifold but fitted neatly inside the hose pushed over the manifold takeoff .. one jubilee clip to stop the bolt falling out and it looked exactly like a hose with nothing blocking it...

  18. My manifold had the large 12mm pipe servo connection but it wasn't drilled through into the manifold.
    Poke some thing down the pipe to see if its drilled.

    Out for a decent walk at last today surprised to see the narrow boat on the move, but it looked like an old commercial one.
    @Merlin Cat a nice quirky car, think it's a Nissan.[IMG][IMG][IMG]
