This a high voltage shunt regulator for a valve amp, not a huge call for those, doesn't warrant the investment, the surface mount stuff is the brains, the heavy lifting is done by these bad boys. I might invest in "microscope", however.

I only have myself to blame, my mate and I designed the circuit, the PCB layout is all my own fault, plus those little blighters have fantastic tolerances for the money.

I bought s binocular PZO microscope off eBay. Beautifully made in Poland in 1973 , up to 100x magnification and down to 4x mag. 100mm focal distance. Makes up for eyesight loss.. have soldered 0 5mm pitch and can see 0402 smt components..

Trick is to use solder braid to clean up iffy surface mount solder blobs..
