    They closed in 1998, the site is pretty much cleared bar the chimneys.

    Near to my partners house in Rugeley, they have recently closed a very similar power station build 2 years after that one - they are starting to remove plant at the moment, it will take them 2 years, but the towers (which are larger than the ones in the pic) will go too as they have housing etc planned.

    Willington was earmarked for destruction, but as its relatively rural I assume they have no new plans for the site and its an expense.

    I remember that one at Rugeley wasn't that one where there was an outbreak of Legioniers disease .

    However the original doom bar was/is brewed in Rock Cornwall
    In the little industrial estate behind the
    Pityme pub
    My in-laws have owned property in Rock for years:)
