Screenshot_20240425-144554~2.png A different type of sail to Mike's, this is me flying the South downs this morning to blow away to cobwebs and snatch an opportunity to fly between the awful weather we've been having. Great fun :D

  4. On my way with a rented truck to recover my semi trailer. Driver called at 4h50am to told me he brokes the turbo.
Engine ran away when I moved the truck to unhook the trailer, massive white smoke that stop the traffic on a 4 ways roads!
Had to have it towed to the garage, finger crossed the engine is not dead...

Don't mind the clock and picture hour don't match, it is broken.
And failed to MOT due to a rusted cab step

Does the chair make it glamping?

  12. I've eaten capybara, in Brazil. It was just before Easter, so Lent, and in a good Catholic country like Brazil, that meant no meat on Friday, only fish. But capybara was OK, because as they live in rivers they must be fish. Bit muttony.

  13. Stripping out two old alarms in my 944, including door contact wiring in what looks like domestic twin cable.

  14. I'd replace all the door wiring with 4mm2 T&E, just to be on the safe side

  15. It's in both doors. I'm finding some proper odd stuff. It's a first year (1982) UK launch car so I was expecting some basic design failings that get ironed out as newer versions are launched, but didn't think it would be quite so basic, considering they cost a lot of money to buy new.

  19. I suspect it was a plumber. They'd wrapped PTFE tape around the spark plugs.
