Should i send it back

Can't be Lucky Dragon, I believe they are currently manufacturing under the brand name OEM

 

Are you after an alternator for a type4 motor? I have a Bosch recon that I no longer need, has a pulley fitted and is not notchy

 

Dont get rid of it i may need it depending on what happens tomorrow when i speak to the supplier . at the moment i have one on the van that europarts are due to give me a refund for and one in a box thats going back possibly for exchange if they have one if not ill have yours

 

i voted to send it back as well

Don't send it back...that's just what they'll be expecting...

 

I'd avoid anything that wast Bosch when it comes to T4 alternators. The cheaper one I bought from VWH caused me no end of trouble. Trouble I am hoping I have now eradicated from my bus.

Send it back. As mentioned by Paul, if should rotate smoothly to start with.

 

Exchange is organized for tomorrow ,no quibbles .

 

The new one has arrived and feels ok and sounds good , now only if it would stop raining

 

Send its proberly a dud that failed inspection then somebody got them cheap illegally and are selling

 

The europarts one is returned and refunded . fact
The megabug one is returned and exchanged for a new one.fact
The new one is fitted . fact
The new one doesnt make any bearing noise . fact
The new one charges the battery .fact
It took me an hour to get the bottom mounting bolt in , bloody fact.

 

But most importantly, it's now done. Fact.

Now go and get yourself a beer and tick it off the list.
