It should have been cancelled but im so glad it wasent as it was a much needed break for our family The show was pathetic with activitys and events being cancelled and the trade area being a quagmire However it was the late bay members and their carry on attitude that made it a good weekend for us
I agree it should've been cancelled.Thought it quite odd that we were queueing up on the main road outside for 40 minutes, got inside the grounds where 3 lanes filtered into one after an additional hour where the incoming road could've handled 2 lanes. Stewards pointing people into swampy, dodgy places didn't help either! Long grass everywhere,no Beat and I thought there was supposed to be a Mods and Rockers theme somewhere? Not enough fresh water points either. Must have been a very challenging event to host in really poor conditions but if wasn't like the rain took anybody by surprise was it?
On saturday the camperjam facebook said Show still going ahead had some lite rain ground a little bit soft but not causing any disruption. Take it that was a lie then?
Depends on your perspective really , if you were a trader then yes a massive lie , if you were camping in the bottom fields yes a big lie , if you were coming sunday it was a big lie , if you were up on the hill with home is where you park it and only interested in sitting and supping it wasn't defo not a jibe at you Rick just a generalisation
They will have made a good profit every year so far and my opinion is they should have taken a loss this year to keep the good name for future years Thats exactly it para , that's what i feel too
My mate once said to try a certain restaurant ( we've all had this ) He'd been loads of times and loved it, I went and it was marmite, rubbish food and service that was it for me, never been back and tell everyone its no good, same thing here innit really
Come on if we did nothing twice due to bad/rubbish things happening most of you would of chuck your camper keys long ago due to doors falling of or breaking down to often. Yes it wasn't idea weather but I for one will be buying tickets as soon as the 2013 ones go on sale. Toilets that I used were in great condition but they weren't the ones near club camping as thats a busy area, but I did use the ones on road upto the new HIWYPI and in bare feet. The muddy trade area was due to lack of direction from CJ staff. The wallk ways should never of been use to drag vehicles up thats what the service roads were for and when they did become water logged would not a lorry load of straw help. I did hear the syncro mob didn't help matters by driving where they liked because they can @*~#@@*. If we want show like CJ to happen we need to show are support and offer ideas/suggestions not just bark it was poo and should of been cancelled I want my money back. I'm not a lover of big shows/events but CJ has something about it I like.
If we want show like CJ to happen we need to show are support and offer ideas/suggestions not just bark it was poo and should of been cancelled I want my money back. No one said they want their money back K , they just think cj should have spent a bit more of theirs on the access area as soon as it became apparent things were going wrong , particularly for the traders who it probably cost a lot of money and planning .
As we used to say in the forces Prior planning prevents pee poor performance It wasent a freak of nature all that rain it was predicted and forcast for a long time a little bit of contingincy in the planning goes a long way Toilets were cleaner than last year though
