It looks like something should be here but I cannot find anything in my searches. It is on the trailing side of the slider.
That's what I thought but could not find any pice or references. Anyone got a pic or part number. It's on a Westy by the way. Ta.
It's the bog standard interior handle from any of the usual suppliers. You screw it on so it's horizontal.
No its not its a different handle asfaik , I have one at work so will compare but I can't remember the difference . I think the bolt hole is in the middle and not offset for some reason
They're the same on my 79. Annoyingly I broke mine yanking the door in and could only get a repro. The original centre cap doesn't fit this however.
JK do them, I picked one up for mine from Bus Types but it didn't fit - the square hole was too small so I'll have to get a JK one.
Are you chaps sure you haven't still got the sticky-out cog thing still attached? I bought a westy square bracket thing, and from memory a spare stock handle went straight on.
It's exactly the same handle as fitted to the one that opens your sliding door. Can you see VW engineering another handle?? No nor I.
I think maybe a wager then birdy ? There are definately two types one with the hole offset and one with the hole in the middle , not saying one won't fit the other .
