September Techenders which weekend

^ oh...... well, we need people to poke the fire, are you qualified?

 

So, i've checked the holiday folder at work, i'm off the August one anyway but it's moley76's wedding on the saturday so i'm out for that. The Friday 14th is booked off at work although the lad who has it says he will swap if i want (but if not i'll still be there by 7pm) and i've booked the 21st provisionally just incase i need it so fingers crossed it's 14th/21st September for me.

 

I came down from Manchester and it was well worth the trip - even though on the way back I got on the M6 toll by mistake and got stung for nearly 10 quid. Thanks very much to all the people who explained things to me.

Right it looks like that my first mistake was to take on this monster and the second to give a choice.

 

As for the JK forum vote i did it out of politeness as that's were it all started. (think most come here as well now).

I set a short deadline as Eddie has a very popular site.


As for teachers/mechanics that was fine when they organised it but maybe we should start thinking on the lines of incentives free camping, booze or both (Booze not to be given till teaching done).

I'm a go with the flow guy so tell me what and we can take it from there.


As for cost Eddie has not increased it ever for us and gives us a dam good rate.
The next camp is organised as soon as the current one is over givein plenty of time to book the dates off.
I wonder if its possible to ask for a 50% deposit say no later then 2 months before the camp then no shows have something to loose.


I liked it when all I did was update the name list.

 

tuesday, don't get disheartened, i suggest you call eddie or if you want give me details to call him, ask for a price for ten, twenty, thirty units and post that up and tell people the price is (example) £10/£15/£20 a night etc, if no teachers can come it maybe that we muddle through and use the event as a place to do jobs with help from others, as zed says he didn't actually do much, just advised, most of us did all the things we set out to do, i'm sure we can get summat off the ground.

I can't see it dying tbh, if it's lasted 20 events its unlikely to die overnight. Re the "Roddy" part, he's one of the "experts" and as far as I am aware nit the organiser..... But what a top bloke and he is awesome at explaining what to do, a very patient fella indeed

This is somthing that id like to attend and help with from time to time but i feel the distance may hamper my commitment and i dont want to let anyone down
