Get plastered at the pub & let the car take you home, I can't see a downside.:thinking:

Forget the drinking and sexting etc behind the wheel as there are to many laws to be changed so I guess a competent and legal driver 'in charge of vehicle' will have to be in the drivers seat whilst the vehicle is in motion.

    I'll NEVER use one

  12. Honestly officer I wasn't driving , that could be interesting .... Thinking

  13. One of my clients has a TESLA and drove all the way to France while reading a novel, and 300 miles per charge .

    We keep making things 'safer'.

It's not natures way for us to become impervious to the natural world....man stands aloof whilst all other life forms are killed off.

As for cars....driving is getting so in un enjoyable these days...get in, fall asleep, wake up at destination.

  18. I just cant see it. Its perfectly feasible to have driverless trains, pilotless aircraft, ships. They dont though do they! Why?

It won't happen in those timescales.
    You heard it here first.

  20. I've just driven a single track "moss" road to get little one to gym. I had to pull into a passing place on the right (the wrong side) to let a grimme spud picker past. This cleared my roof by about six inches. How would driverless cars cope with things like this.
Big odd agricultural vehicles are very common in the agricultural areas less than ten miles from the heart of many major uk cities.
