Can anyone help me? I seem to have, inadvertently of course, pressed a button on a sales website marked " Add to Cart " and bought a couple of things Ms. T may ( or may not ) approve of. Item 1 1968 Fender Mustang Competition Item 2 1959 Fender Jazzmaster Item 3 Fender Jaco Pastorius Fretless Bass As it is I'll probably only need to hide out for a few years, but that'll depend on how quickly Ms. T takes to calm down and to see the sense of these investments.
What a beautiful trio of guitars. I think the best solution is for you to have them shipped to me and I can look after them for you, I'll even send you photos of me and the boys gigging them in the local pubs - nice tasteful ones of them lying next to the drums and leaning on fruit machines.
Get drums instead Don, easier to hide amongst themselves. Mind you, you'd set off with a 5 piece and end up with a kit like Neil Peart's in a fortnight
Maybe this will help! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/50-WOODE...030147?hash=item288d7644c3:g:HfgAAOSw37BaeE9m
Great avatar. I always preferred Scott to Brian in the classic line up. Brian was the better player technically I guess, but I always thought Scott looked cool as f playing that Les Paul Deluxe. Always wanted a Deluxe and that’s down to Scott Gorham Fenders are still better guitars though........
Scott is a great guitarist, that's for sure but Brian had the flair...but didn't stand the test of time, last I heard he was in a mess with drink but may have cleaned himself up. He looks at home with Black Star Riders and is back playing Les Pauls again and his red Axcess from Fenders.
I think Ms. T would agree but these are an excellent investment ................ vintage guitars always go up in value. Honest.
I'll try to help you out a bit seeing as you're a mate. You will be a dead man when your Mrs finds out or a dead man by the time they're worth more than you paid. Your kids will sell them cheap and some aging hippy will buy them and have to hide them from his wife...
