Seat upholstery made at home / and interior refit due to lockdown

    Just checked our Singer 201K. about the same age as the bus.. but we bought it when it was only about 15 years old, for £59 in 1986. Really the same machine as Simon's but with a super taupe coloured metal shell on it to look more modern.

  4. Made seat base fit took some few day work to lower and make the slide mech work ect but done now on to heated seat switches and wiring tomorrow and finally the assembly

    Managed to get the wiring worked out with some help from @pkrboo cheers Matt was 1 wire off but supper happy nice and warm tomorrow is the full final assembly

  6. looking good Si.

    i wired my seat heaters into the heated rear window switch - i don't have a heated rear window so the switch was redundant, nicer to keep it oem rather than have a modern switch .. also lights up when its on which is nice :)

  7. Will loose the 6 settings then won't I bit I'll make a little bracket to fit under the dash

  8. Had a good few hours rebuilding the passengers seat now I have all the paint ect and well I'm over the moon at my 1st attempt at re trimming a seat (hard 1 to start with !!! Now for the rest of the bus

  10. I just got one of those put of the attic. Inherited from an old aunt. She bought it new in 1957. Beautifully-made machine.

Just the base left to make now the back rest and hog ring rod is all done ready to be refitted !! Now i know it looks ok and I can do it Iv order loads more foam for the rear seat and bed allso some runner foam for the door cards allso gonna add some chrome time to Kaz the door cards up a bit as Iv got at least another month off to play with it took some pics to show how Iv done it I'm happy with the results I'd say it's cost me £400 for all seats bed and all door cards and buying heated seats ect and sewing machine!!
