It has a working analogue ( wax disc ) tachograph in it too - No @Moons you don't have use it, sorry for not replying earlier. I think they came from the factory as standard fitting, obviously motorhomes are exempt.

    Is it?

  10. That's superb Malc I absolutely love it. My mate worked at a VW garage in the 80s and he often used to bring an LT van home at weekends. It was cavernous, about 10 of us used to pile in the back and visit local village pubs:burp:

Cheers Phil. I am really pleased with it too. As I said before- I always fancied a classic truck, but could see no purpose in owning one. This being a 5 tonner nearly qualifies as a proper truck, and --- It's a VW camper! win win.

  12. Brickwerks sell service and other parts for LTs if you need anything.

The 2.4 diesel engines were VW units but sold to Volvo so most parts (even in the volvo 760 etc) will have a VW part number.

  16. To be honest it looks more like the 80's version of L90E Alpineweiss to me. I had a Mk2 Golf in that colour.

We had an LT luton delivery van at home when i was younger, it was an ex Target Express lorry, the big brown ones, my Dad never used the tachograph in that, might have been 3.5 tonne, not sure
