Does look decent, i would recommend, i was expecting that little gold made in China sticker, is Huco good?

It was £23. 27 + vat, so a good saving over all

 

Huco are fine - fitting one years ago, and it's still working.

I was just wondering why other suppliers charge £35 for the things... GSF to their credit don't seem to add VW Scene Tax!

 

Cool, £35 seems to be the norm, still not bad considering the price of an alternator, on line it was £31 inc vat

and when i phoned it was a little bit cheaper than that, then i got my 10% loyalty card off

 

you'll probably need some distilled water in your battery if you've vented off some, then see if its salvagable or not. Keep some jump leads in the van just in case.

Cheers scote I had a brand new Gsf one so i stuck that in seeing as i was renewing things, the old one seems ok still and i didn't drive very far, I'm going to stick it in my bug and see how it goes

Yes, all is good, and sorted out all the other crap bits in there and wired the plug for my smart charger. Got some new paint for in there next week
