He was using his own designed, manufactured by someone else, bu the recent ones are the ones that have been having the issues so he is now using a new type from a company that makes stuff for jcb's and the like. All good now and he is swapped ng out bad ones for free as and whne people contact him. He said it is weird because he can set them up perfect on the bench bu tyhen after fitting they get some slack. So that's why he now has this new type. Looks similar to the t25 bevel box (split beams still use these at the moment) but fits onto a bay.
There's a couple of pics on my website. Birdy fitted it so he may be able to offer some fitting advice. I remember him saying that the most difficult bit was removing the old beam as they're heavy as!
yeah tell me about it, I got one off a scrap bus in the middle of summer in the nevada desert!! sweaty!!
And from memory he took the beam off with all the shocks, disc brakes and calipers in place - think he was secretly training for the local Croydon Mr. Universe ;-)
