yes, well you'd need to punch it through the shelf that the tank sits on to start off with...

Yes i am not up for undoing all of the work i have put in to get it this far just to undo a bloody bolt. Drives me mad sometimes!!! Haha.

 

It's the tube that the bolt goes through... Sleeve is me being technical

 

I had one a while back that was split on the inside, so the bolt wouldn't tighten... I had to fit a half nut using just my finger tips... Not fun

 

Indeed, but sometimes the quick way is what appears to be the long way. Confucious said that, or should have.

 

But doable which is the main thing.
However, despite the year, Phill has a spinning nut.

I bet the girls are all impressed though.

 

I tell them it's like a spinning top where you have to pump the handle up and down for it to spin. They're not very good at getting it to spin but they give it a good go.

Mines a 78 and there is a nut welded on the rear

 

Not through the hole you pictured but slightly higher up
There is a gap you can get a spanner in to hold the nut

 

Maybe I got it the wrong way round...

 

Looks like a nyloc nut. Cannot get a grip on it, can't wedge it. Last resort will be to try and weld the nut to the chassis and try to undo the bolt.
