  1. I'll send some PMs round....i'm now thinking about using convoluted high pressure stuff....having a flange welded on one end and a spigot in the other....[IMG] This stuff, but without the braiding.....annular stainless hose core

The tube size you mention should bend okay with a hand held pipe bender but you need to ensure the tube doesn't kink where the bend is.

Best solution is to tape one end of the tube us nice and tight and pour sand into the other till its full - you don't want to displace the sand when it kinks either hence it being full. Tape the other end up nice and tight too and bend away to your desired radius.

Clean the tube afterwards & all will be well!

  4. You might just manage to bend it in a hand bender... I've got a heavy duty floor mounted pipe bender here that I can just do the tube that I bent up for Paras rear wheel carrier!!

Don't waste your time with a hydraulic crossbow bender... they are really meant for heavy duty pipe with a 4mm+ wall thickness!!

  5. Guess I should've asked the benders first then:D
Just sent an email off to a local hose maker....if it comes in at less than the cost of hiring a conduit bender and a metre length of 316, then I'll get it fabbed up...if not, I'll be stealing sand from the park!

    Thanks for the input everyone:thumbsup:
