If I was to put quality (you pay for what you get) in order it be as follows. IMO.....
    1. Schofields.
    2. VW Heritage.
    3. J.K Kampers.
    Haven't used Cool Air.
Buttys Bus parts are excellent quality, fit, and trustworthy.

One the bulbs that illuminates the heater controls on the dash of my Vauxhall Vivaro has blown, it's a fairly standard 226 bulb in a plastic holder. Euro car parts £3.19 but out of stock, Ebay £3.99 for two or Marshalls Vauxhall £24.45 plus VAT!!!!

Many suppliers cunningly do not state what you're buying. They just state the use, so you get T2 rear shock top bolt instead of M10 x whatever. Heritage of past were better and told you what the spec was but I think even they've wised up to the lost easy profit keeping the punter in the dark produces.

Coolair do seem to still tell you what you're buying if you click on the "Included Parts" tab.

If I were to put quality/value for money in order it might be:
    1. Schofields.
    2. Heritage and every other parts supplier.
    Last. JK
There are two reasons to buy anything from JK - nowhere else has the part you need in stock or you live next door and cant be bothered to go anywhere else.
    IMO

It's M12x102 but I get your point. If people cant be bothered to look up the part they want on a parts list to get the spec and/or the part number serves 'em right for paying over the odds for someone else to do it.

Quite so, but every camper owner isn't an engineer and they probably think that the part labelled "blah" is somehow special, or don't want to risk it. As you say though - tough luck if you can't be bothered to learn you pay for that as in every aspect of life. :)

The rationale must be that they own an old VW campervan so they go to somewhere that sells old VW campervan parts. If I couldn't find or read a parts list I'd search for whatever it was I wanted, then find where the part was sold. Google took a 0.46 seconds to find 'VW T2 upper damper bolt', but I suppose you need to know what something might be called to search for it.
There are lots of things I know nothing about and I know I pay for my ignorance.

You also have to care how much stuff costs. I'm not short of money but I still don't like wasting it. Some people literally do not care. We're all different - I have Scottish blood.

Makes me feel better when I splurge on £500 headphones or a shiny exhaust if I save £2 on some screws. lol
