The ends of the roo bar curve to follow the curve of the front panel. I think it's just the way the pictures taken that shows the curve on the lhs more.
@ paradox are you going to paint the roo bars to match the 'rocket launchers' between the wheels or to match the van or another colour?
think you should concentrate on getting the wheels back on first,i imagine roos are quite thin on the ground in the UK

Mick I know you've followed my thread for years And even though we've never met I do believe we have a connection of some sort Life went wrong for me and i was going to use my van as a means of escape from normal life Strange thing is I've actually managed to get to a place in life that I don't want to escape from In all honesty we don't need the van We are great at day trips and do a lot of them The van is therapy to me at times men need something to tinker with So apologies for it being a long boring thread but someone once told me slowly slowly catchy monkey
Suppose we are the other ends of the spectrum (i want it now!),if it's therapy you need stick with it...I followed your progress because i thought you wanted to take you family out and about and was willing you to win (like supporting a footy team) ,but your priorities have changed..(as below) Happyness in life is always the most important ,I am glad for you....
I suppose it's because I've had the van that long life has changed loads My eldest daughter that used to come to the shows etc with me when I had the van for the first few years is 18 this year and her and her boyfriend are planning a tour of Europe in his t4 Mrs para only gets one day of at weekend so we tend to go out for day trips and cram as much in the day as possible Where we live now is so lovely and the dales is on our doorstep so I don't need to travel far and stay over to enjoy it The van will go back on the road though I just want to get the underside spot on before it does After that the rest will get sorted as I go along
I think that's one of the most important parts of owning one of these old vans; making the journey what you want out of it. When we bought ours we were naive and thought it'd be easy to keep it going. I've learnt a shed load from working on it and it is my primary focus currently to get it back on the road. When the day comes, I hope you drive down to the local tyre place, get the van up on a 4 post lift and take some photos before it gets muddy!!
I'll need them as one of the pics for my insurance agreed value And one for the eBay add when I sell it ten years later lmao
