pancake filter

is it better to change a bath filter for a pancake type and will it affect anything else like choke

 

i thought so thanks might look nice thats all

 

plus with a pancake filter you're more likely to suffer from carb icing


If your engine is std, keep everything else std!!

I'm just getting the bits together to go back to standard.

 

yes stick with what i have as i read some can come off and cause grief
on the side of my carb yhere is a pipe about ten or 15 mm been plugged off any idea why

 

If its on the manifold just below the carb its the vacuum source when a brake servo is fitted. Usualy plugged when not used.

 

Left hand side of carb connects to vacuum advance can on distributor, if you have the correct distributor.
