i am getting bored now, who cares what goes on or who talks to who? if you want a forum to JUST talk about type 2 vans there are others chaps, tlb is more than a forum it's about meeting and forming friendships, if people contribute they have more chance of being involved in the 'clique' if they don't want to but they get the answer they need then what's the problem?

As a relative newby to the forum can i explain why/how i use the forum ,
i am new to the scene, daughters wanting a van started me to do some research on them , this and several other forums come up high on the Google search results . having bought a van , and having only self taught mechanical skills i dip into the forum when a need arises asking far more knowledgeable people than me how to solve a problem i have come across ,
Always i have had almost instantaneous solutions to my questions , I thank all that have assisted me.
However i do not post as i feel i have no skills or knowledge or experience that i can pass on to others in relation to campervans .
I do however use the forum on a almost daily basis , researching subjects , For example i am researching the heating on the van , this Forum is a great source of info on the subject , but again i cannot add to what is already there thus i do not post , Its not that i dont want to post , its just i have nothing to add???
having said that the heating matter seems a common theme , i am surprised that there has been no thread showing someone repairing- rebuilding- redesigning- using different materials other than stock , i am thinking of loads of different materials to use , when i decide on whats best for me i will keep a photo diary then post , sadly till then i don't think i can add much to the forum
i hope that explains some way as to why such as me a newby doesnt post much

sproggy, hi, the reason we have other topics such as music/food and general banter is so people who don't know much can still join in, 20 months ago i hadn't sat in a vw....
