So I thInk the roof will fit, the bed won't. I would imagine you could fit the bed above the remains of the steel roof but not be able to fold the front part backwards. Is this why @WoodyLubber sister can't stand up as the hole when the roof is up is pretty big on mine.
Yeah you can stand up part way but where the bed comes out over the seat it cuts your space in half, devons have big open standy up space the whole lenth
Yeah ok but £400-500!!!! Not 99p is it mate lol I'm having my seats and various parts done at the moment so guess that's on the list now, just don't see why they're so bloody expensive that's all. I understand the work involved, just can't get over the scene tax, but clearly need to I guess.
Agree, see what you mean now..you can't stand up anywhere on mine not under the hole, the furniture gets in the way. But I can see the Devon hole being more airy!
Same here, they certainly built them right even if the roofs are ugly. Unlike Devon who just cut a massive hole in the roof with what looks like a tin opener
Suppose I was trying to wager the costs of bellows v westy roof and bed etc. The bellows are soooo expensive and it just seems like if you're going to do the whole roof thing you should have what was there if that makes sense? Especially when they advertise the straight canvas as you can have this but it'll be crap cos you have to fold it in!!
Same here. I love Devons particularly the early ones, but the craftsmanship of the bits you weren't meant to see wasn't great.
pmsl this is true, the devon build quality is pants but the westy just looks pap, plus if you did it every rhd british bus owner would think you'd imported a cheapo lhd imposter
oh yeh lardy you will be sleepin down stairs too which is handy if you drink with woody and you might bump your head on the locker now n again if your active in the night
